About The Job
Reporting to the Marine Division Manager, you will be responsible for formulating and executing a sales strategy for the designated area of responsibility of Products and Services in accordance with the assigned targets and local sales company/divisional strategy and targets.
You will also be responsible for leading, developing, and executing high-performing sales in line with the company's culture and leading the local and regional sales team in charge of capital sales.
To be able to do value-based selling in depth technical knowledge of applications and marine environment will be essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the business strategy and plan for assigned areas of responsibility according to division strategy, actions, and targets.
- Develop the business by driving relevant sales and business development activities to get customer loyalty and satisfaction using market analysis, pricing strategies, visits, and Seminars.
- Forecast sales figures and monitor progress against objectives and financial targets to identify problem areas to improve performance.
- Work proactively with structured sales and business development strategies to optimize the sales efficiency of the team.
- Lead the sales team, setting the direction and ensuring that they are performing according to the plan and the sales processes, with a special focus on lead to opportunity and opportunity to quote sub-processes.
- Develop, motivate, and coach direct reports to secure the development of relevant sales and product/application competencies.
- Take direct sales responsibility for assigned regions such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.
What you know?
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Mechanical or Marine Engineering or related.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in developing & managing marine new shipbuilding sales and at least 5 years of experience in technical sales of products & services in Marine industry.
- Well-versed with the development and execution of sales strategies and has also demonstrated a proven track record of over-achievement in your current or previous work capacity.
- Strong with data analytics, using offline and online channels to grow sales.
- Proactive, service-minded, strong in customer care, and can take quick actions.
- Self-motivated team player with a strong customer focus. You should have the courage to take new initiatives and drive the implementation.
- Additionally, to be successful in this role, knowledge of relevant products e.g. separators, heat exchangers, freshwater generators, boilers, and/or inert gas systems is preferred.
