Finance Business Partner (FP&A and Accounting Experience)
Our client is one of the fastest growing retail brands in Asia and their regional HQ is based in Malaysia. This role is based in KL, Malaysia.
In this dynamic role, you will report to the Regional Financial Controller where your responsibilities will be to:
- Collaborate closely with the FP&A team to review monthly functions against budgets.
- Ensure accurate recording of entries according to budgeted cost centres monthly.
- Analyze variances and note exceptions for discussion with functional heads each month.
- Lead the preparation of Annual Budgets and Quarterly reports in coordination with Functions and FP&A teams.
- Generate ad hoc reports as needed, in collaboration with FP&A.
- Support functional heads with analysis as needed to advance organizational objectives
- Manage organization insurance coverage, negotiate terms, and handle notifications for new, closed, or modified locations.
- Prepare and submit key functional reports to stakeholders to aid business decisions.
To excel in this role, you ideally possess:
- Must have experience in Retail or FMCG industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
- Strong grasp of financial accounting and analysis, and understanding of local accounting requirements and regulations.
- Essential experience in an SAP environment and familiarity with Power BI.
- Experience in Finance Business Partnering with demonstrated ability to thrive in a multinational, matrix organization.
- Ability to work effectively across various functions.
- Robust experience in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Keen attention to detail.
