1. Responsible for implementing and maintaining a safe, cost efficient and environmentally sound operation standard
in compliance with the Company’s Safety and Quality Management System as well as the International Marine
regulations and the vessels’ classification, including but not limited to ISO (9001, 14001 and 45001).
2. Ensure ISM, ISPS, and ISO compliances, with properly organized audit plans and efficient preparation, to minimize
NCN and OBS.
3. Assist in the identification of safety risk assessment and environmental aspects / impacts for vessel operations.
4. Ensuring that internal and external audit observations are agreed to and closed out within the agreed schedule.
5. Developing programmes for continuous improvement and to ensure that Marine/HSE Management staff and the
Vessel Officers are kept aware of new or changing regulations and industry initiatives. Roll out HSE campaigns
and cascade this across the fleet.
6. PIC for any client’s survey towards Marine and HSE matters and coordinate with relevant departments to close out
the findings in the punch list before mobilization.
7. Support for preparing project execution plan, planning and schedules, project operations, reviewing and providing
engineering and operational support during offshore vessel operations.
8. Maintain an overview of all vessel’s Marine Statutory Class and certification requirements, inclusive of the renewal
of certificates and ensure all certificates on board are valid and arrange for renewal when necessary.
9. Maintain and manage all vessel and company operational KPIs as well as for those related to offshore vessels such
as OVID, OVMSA amongst other client requirements.
10. Carry out the Internal Audits as per HSE plan and assigned by the Marine Manager
11. Assisting in any emergency response as required.
12. Assisting with Incident accident investigations, High Potential Near Misses and Marine/HSE incidents. Perform
accident / incident investigations, propose corrective/preventive actions and present findings to management.
13. To maintain a high-quality marine operation consistent with the Industry standards and guidelines.
14. In due course act as company deputy DPA and deputy CSO for managed vessels.
15. Additional works and tasks as advised by the Marine Manager and MD.
