  1. Post fixture operations of tanker vessels on time and voyage charter (knowledge of respective charter parties and associated rider clauses.)
  2. Prompt and Timely submission of charter hire invoices, freight invoices, bunker reimbursement invoices and demurrage invoices to charterers and or brokers and follow ups
  3. Counter charter hire or demurrage claims from charterers. Chase for receivables after countering the above claims.
  4. Maintain, analyse record of off hires /breakdowns and implement mitigating measures in conjunction with the technical team with aim of zero claims from charterers.
  5. Bunker planning and co-ordinating with bunkering desk on the stems.
  6. Agency selection and appointment and approval of agent’s PDA and FDA for payments.
  7. Ensuring vessels are covered with adequate insurance policies as per the voyage fixture liase with the respective vessels PNI club for LOI’S, LOU’S and third party claims.
  8. Obtain vessel clearance from terminal, charterers and provide clarifications, preventive and corrective action if required.
  9. Inspection of fleet vessels on a regular basis to ensure vessel are maintained to regulatory, company, vetting and industry standards.
  10. Vetting of all vessels including submitting an inspection request, updating the HVPQ and crew matrix on the SIRE website. Preparing the vessel for vetting inspections, attending the vetting inspection, working with the vessel on the closure of the observations and submitting Operators response on the SIRE website.
  11. Inspection of prospective vessels for purchase and submitting inspection reports.
  12. Conducting of internal audits for ensuring vessels compliance as per Safety Management system of the company.
  13. Initiation of gap analysis for TMSA rating of the company.
  14. Monitor the performance of technical managers in terms of operating expenses within the agreed budget / variance and initiate cost control measures.
  15. Monitor the daily operations of vessels, spare management /approval, bunkers /lubes, crewing, budgeting etc.
  16. Investigate and analyze breakdowns and off hires and ensure implementation of mitigating measures by the managers to prevent recurrence.
  17. Entering the fleet vessels with underwriters towards PNI club, Hull and Machinery cover and responsible all insurance related aspects of the vessels.
  18. Inspection of vessels for prospective new purchase, negotiate on the MOA terms and undertake formalities for class / flag entry on acquisition of the vessel.
  19. Organize meetings with vendors ie. suppliers, workshops, OEMS, Bunker and lube traders to negotiate competitive rates for their services
  20. Business development aspects of the company focusing on new takeovers, projecting ourselves as emerging entrants into the INDIAN market.
  21. Ensuring smooth and efficient liaison with principals, v/ls masters, cargo receivers, port officials and our agency local offices for quick turnaround of our v/ls calling various Indian Ports.
  22. Interviewing and selection of Master and chief officer for the vessels under my charge.
