Here are the job responsibilities:
TECHNICAL:
- Ensure vessels meet all class and flag requirements, coordinating surveys, inspections, and compliance documentation.
- Support superintendents by monitoring planned maintenance and coordinating technical repairs or services, including contractor selection and cost approval.
- Assist with planning, budgeting, and overseeing dry-docking processes, ensuring timely documentation and cost control.
- Facilitate smooth flag and ownership transfers during vessel takeovers or handovers.
- Monitor validity of trading certificates and maintain accurate records, drawings, and plans.
- Administer and enforce technical procedures in line with ISO standards.
PURCHASING:
- Source, negotiate, and coordinate delivery of supplies, spares, and provisions, ensuring timely and cost-effective fulfilment.
- Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and manage price comparisons to ensure competitive procurement.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date logs, inventories, and reports for audits and internal use.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Address non-conformities in supplies and collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues.
