Our client is a growing Oil and Gas shipping conglomerate looking to grow their portfolio of business and shipping services through an experience Business Develeopment Manager in their Singapore office.

 

The BD Manager is responsible to the Commercial Director for establishing and maintaining relationships with partners, prospective clients, and key industry influencers to fuel business growth and increase market share.

 

Responsibilities

1. Market Analysis & Strategy Development:

Conduct thorough market research to identify trends and new business opportunities within the shipping industry.

Develop and refine business development strategies aligned with the company's overall growth objectives and the specific needs of the shipping market.

2. Partnership Development & Management:

Identify and approach potential partners to establish mutually beneficial relationships.

Negotiate and finalize cooperation agreements, ensuring that they align with company objectives and standards.

Manage and maintain these partnerships, ensuring smooth communication, collaboration, and performance monitoring.

3. Service Innovation & Customization:

Collaborate with technical and service teams to develop innovative shipping solutions tailored to the unique needs of our clients and partners.

Continuously assess and improve our service offerings to stay ahead of market demands and competition.

4. Lead Generation & Commercial Support:

Identify and qualify potential clients, engaging in proactive outreach and lead generation efforts.

Support the commercial team in the conversion of leads into clients, providing insights, proposals, and negotiation support as needed.

5. Marketing & Branding:

Participate in the development and execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives that promote our shipping services and partnerships.

Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, enhancing brand visibility and fostering relationships with key industry players.

6. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities, including partnership growth, revenue generation, and customer satisfaction.

Prepare regular reports and presentations summarizing performance, trends, and recommendations for future actions.

 

Qualification?

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or relevant fields.

2. Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, marketing, shipbroking, or related fields within the shipping industry. Oil and gas shipping industry experience preferred.

3. Deep understanding of the shipping industry, including shipping routes, regulations, market dynamics, and key players.

4. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

5. Highly self-driven with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to thrive under pressure.

6. Good command of English and Fluent Chinese is preferable due to daily interaction with the group and partners in this region, enabling seamless communication with the international partners.

7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software, with a willingness to learn industry-specific tools and platforms.

8. Be willing to travel.
