Country Finance Manager (Big 4 Audit is a must)
Our client is an established fintech organisation that has been in Singapore over a decade. It has its Prescence in 7 countries across Asia and is looking to strengthen the Singapore finance team.
This role is a role that focusses on the Singapore books and works closely with the Group CFO and MD of Singapore based here.
Overview
We are looking for a hands-on, proactive (Country Finance Manager) who is enthusiastic about making a difference in an ever-growing organization and always hungry for growth!
Responsibilities
- Supervise, control and manage finance and accounting operations in accordance with the company policy
- Monitor and ensure compliance of finance and accounting operations and taxation in accordance with accounting standards, tax practice and various related laws
- Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation
- Timely prepare and submit all group reporting, intercompany billing, and reconciliation
- Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes
- Continued focus on improving efficiencies of Finance related systems, accounting and financial processes
- Maintain proper financial controls which includes amongst others, reconciliations with proper audit trail
- Actively review and advise on financial and accounting processes
- Manage the relationship with banks, corporate secretary, local tax authorities, auditors, and government agencies and all paperwork preparation required
- Analyze the effect of statutory accounting practices and studies regulations and guidance to ensure correct application of accounting standards
- Consistently analyzing of financial data and presenting financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitoring Account Receivables aging and managing the cash position
- Assisting CFO and Country Managing Director in the annual budgeting and planning process; administering and reviewing all financial plans and comparing to actual results with a view to identifying, explaining and correcting variances as appropriate
- Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
- Leveraging strengths of the finance and accounting team members; providing clarity on the roles and responsibilities; developing and implementing training to maximize and help them reach optimal individual and organizational goals
- Providing leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; creating and promoting a positive and supportive work environment

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance – Minimally an Honours degree Second Class Upper Division or above
- Chartered Accountancy qualification is required
- At least 4 years of experiences in external audit with Big 4 Audit Firm and managing a team
- Preferably 2 years of experience in month end, budget/forecast process and analysis of full P&L
- Have direct experience in making financial statements
- Be an analytical thinker with strong investigative and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a high stress environment, while giving support to the team and providing direction and guidance.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well orally and in writing and manage well at all levels of the organization.
